But the truth is, most home insurance policies do not automatically cover boats or watercraft. Here's what you need to know: Specialised cover: Boats often require dedicated boat insurance policies that consider their unique risks. Cover variations: Some home policies may offer limited cover for small boats stored at home, but this isn't guaranteed.
