RYA - HRH Bids: 1 February - 31 August 2023 - the invitation for the next bid period from HRH, the Princess Royal’s office has recently been received. Copies of the bid form, bid form guidance, a list of dates to be avoided for the period, and points to be considered before making a bid are available from chair.so@rya.org.uk. The deadline for bids to have been submitted to RYA HQ is Monday 12th September.

RYA - Racing sailors combine campaigning with coaching qualification to get ahead! - Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy have offered sailors a chance to complete the RYA’s Race Coach Level 2 course, enabling them to begin their coaching journey. Triple Olympian Ali Young says “Having knowledge is one thing but being able to help other people to learn is very different, so this qualification definitely provides very good foundations for that." RYA Training - RYA Connect with Coaching workshop - Teaching a practical knowledge of the Racing Rules of Sailing. The RYA Coach Development team are offering you the opportunity to take part in a 1-day coaching skills development workshop supported by John Doerr (Chairperson for the 2021-2024 revision of the Racing Rules of Sailing). The workshop will consist of an online priming session (12th or 13th September) and practical workshop (30th September, 1st or 2nd October at Rutland Water). More details available here
