RYA FB - As we sail into 2025, we want to explore new horizons, learn new skills, and make it a year to remember. Will you be setting a new year’s resolution? For some, it’s a way to achieve goals for the year, but for others it’s better to approach the year with an open mind. Whether you’re setting big goals, or simply focussing on enjoying the water more, we’re here to support you! #TogetherOnWater

RYA FB - As we welcome the first day of 2025, we want to say a HUGE thank you to all our amazing members. 2024 was an incredible year for our sport. We saw the @britishsailing team make history with Ellie’s gold medal at the Paris Olympics, the Athena Pathway competed in the first ever Women’s America’s Cup, 3 British sailors headed into the extreme Vendee Globe race, and much more. We can’t wait to see what 2025 will bring!

RYA FB - Did you know Volvo Ocean Race Skipper, Dee Caffari completed her Yachtmaster via the Fast Track route? Dee was a PE teacher who had never been on a boat before channelling all her energy into taking a Yachtmaster Fast Track program. Among her accolades is coming sixth in one of the toughest Vendée Globe Races in history according to Vaughan Marsh, RYA Chief Instructor of Sail and Motor Cruising, success depends on the type of person you are and how dedicated to learning you are. We can’t all expect to be the next Dee Caffari but going into it with the right attitude is a huge advantage. This intensive sailing program is like taking an entire university course in three to four months. It’s a massive personal and emotional investment, but it can be done. I’ve seen some excellent skippers go through the Fast Track route.” Read our Fast Track top tips 👉 http://rya.org/tMCC50UsyOz
