RYA Member Weekly News Update - Ofwat set to be scrapped in ‘reset’ of water sector. Clean Water Sports Alliance evidence referenced in call for reforms. Ofwat, the regulator for the water and wastewater sectors in England and Wales, is set to be scrapped, following an independent commission into the industry. The Government will establish a new, single, powerful regulator to cut water pollution in England’s rivers, and take responsibility for water functions across Ofwat, Environment Agency, Natural England and Drinking Water Inspectorate. https://www.rya.org.uk/news/ofwat-scrapped-water-sector-reset

RYA FB - RNLI Lifeboat Launches - In 2024, the RNLI lifeboats launched 1,900 times to powered boat users and sailors, aiding 1,447 people and saving 42 lives.
